FIRE TRAGEDY IN ONITSHA

There was weeping and wailing as four buildings were last night razed down by a fire in the city of Onitsha, Anambra state.The fire, which began at about some minutes before midnight on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, and was on until the next day, emanated from the Total filling station, beside DMGS Roundabout, Upper Market Road, Onitsha.In the video, vehicles were also affected by the furnace, and a firefighter truck was seen moving around the scene.It is not clear if any life was lost at the time of this report.

EFCC discovers another set of vehicles from ex-customs boss

Just about six days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered 17 exotic cars from a warehouse reportedly owned by Abdullahi Dikko Inde, former comptroller-general of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), another set of vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles, have been reportedly seized from him. Some of the exotic cars earlier seized from the ex-customs boss The Nation reports that the second recovery was made between Monday, February 27 and Tuesday, February 28 in another warehouse allegedly belonging to the former customs boss. The fresh items include a 2013 model 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.
