YOUNG MAN JAILED SEVEN TIMES
The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of the Lagos State Police Command have taken an 18-year old serial phone thief, Sadeeq Wasiu, into custody at the Oshodi area of the state. The suspect, who had been imprisoned seven times, was re-arrested in Oshodi after several months of being in his hideout. Wasiu, popularly known as “Omo Eiye,” was arrested at the Oshodi Under Bridge while trying to runway after snatching an Infinix Note 3 from an undergraduate. Before his arrest, Wasiu, who has been in the operatives’ wanted list, was accused of being the one who masterminded the attempted theft of four phones in the area. Sadeeq, told his interrogators that he was released from Potoki Prison, Badagry in January 2017, and that he escaped from Ikire, Osun State when he was 15 years old.
