I Robbed To Pay My Son’s Hospital Bill -Arrested Armed Robber

Uche Udoma was arrested by operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Unit attached to the Umuahia Central Police Station, who responded to a distress call from one Dr. Chioma Okoli, whose house at Amakama Housing Estate in Umuahia, was burgled by the suspect. The suspect, who said he’s a panel beater, revealed that he stole so he could he pay his son’s hospital bill as no job has been coming for a long time. That was what led me into stealing. I broke into my neighbour’s house and stole her Plasma television, but I was caught in the act and the television set was collected back from me” he said.

Just about six days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered 17 exotic cars from a warehouse reportedly owned by Abdullahi Dikko Inde, former comptroller-general of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), another set of vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles, have been reportedly seized from him. Some of the exotic cars earlier seized from the ex-customs boss The Nation reports that the second recovery was made between Monday, February 27 and Tuesday, February 28 in another warehouse allegedly belonging to the former customs boss. The fresh items include a 2013 model 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.
