Tragedy as man burns house, car and kills himself in Zimbabwe (Graphic Photo)

A 42-year-old man from Southlea Park in Zimbabwe who had an argument with his wife has reportedly burnt down his properties before killing himself. According to Zim Eye, the man identified as Patrick Bangani drank a concoction of sulphuric acid and pesticides after ramming his car into the family house before dousing it with petrol and setting it ablaze. One of his children, an 11-year-old daughter, who witnessed her father taking the poisonous concoction escaped through the window of one of the bedrooms, while her other siblings were said to be playing in the neighborhood. However, a neighbor, Ms. Shylet Mabodo who confirmed the tragedy said Mr.Bangani and his wife had a tumultuous marriage and were always trading blows in front of their children.

Pregnant Wife Stabs Husband To Death Over “Baba Ijebu” Lotto

Onyinyechi Akunne, has been arraigned in an Ikeja court for allegedly killing her 35-year-old husband, Abuchi Akunne, with a kitchen knife over a lottery ticket of Premier Lotto Ltd also known as “Baba Ijebu”. According to her prosecutor, Mrs C.K Tuiyi-Carena, 29-year-old Onyinyechi who committed the offence on March 28, 2015 at her residence located at No. 85, Idimu Road, Ejigbo, a surbub of Lagos, was pregnant at that time. “On the day of the alleged murder, Onyinyechi was preparing a meal while Abuchi was sitting on a chair in their home looking at his ‘Baba Ijebu’ lottery tickets. Angered by her husband’s action, Onyinyechi scolded him for his love for gambling and a fight ensued between them. She took the kitchen knife she was using to cut vegetables and stabbed her husband fatally in the chest. The stabbing inflicted a deep cut in Abuchi’s chest which led to excessive blood loss and his eventual death. The victim died before he could be taken to hospital by Onyinyechi and concern

Wole Soyinka Attacks Gov. Wike Over $43M Ikoyi Loot

Wole Soyinka, renowned playwright and professor on Saturday slammed Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for ‘lying’ that the recently recovered loots from Ikoyi building, Lagos belong to the State. Speaking at the opening of his Vision of the Child Art Exhibition at Freedom Park, Lagos, Soyinka said it was time to legislate against the detractors of efforts to rid the country of corruption. According to Soyinka, people who create distraction in the fight against corruption should be prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). “When we talk about corruption, is it not time we legislate against detractors, who deliberately create distraction. “Say, for instance, the money just found in Lagos.
